Labour Party Medical Society History
Professor Sam Lingam is the current chairman of the Labour Medical Society, previously known as the New Labour Medical Society, under the guidance of the sitting Secretary of State for Health. Established by the late Frank Dobson, it has a longstanding history. The previous chairman, Andy Burnham, hosted a meeting at the House of Commons in 2010. Professor Sam Lingam is affiliated with the Royal Society of Medicine.
